Satchmo has become one of our most well known stallions, producing brilliant show ponies year after year. In 2006, his son, Snelsmore Jasper won the Foal Class at the Breed show and returned in 2007 to win the Yearling Colt Class. Satchmo's 2007 progeny produced both Snelsmore Kenzie, an un-beaten colt foal in the show ring, and Snelsmore Kanchana, a champion show filly.
In 2008 we were delighted with Snelsmore Landric and Snelsmore Lexi, both winners in the show ring as foals. Snelsmore Lexi then went on to achieve top price foal at Reading Sales in 2008. We look forward to his 2009 stock.
Satchmo has recently been tested positive as a Tobiano Homozygous, this means he carries the TT gene. Having this gene enables Satchmo to guarantee 100% colour regardless of mate, with a strong possibility of also passing this gene on to his offspring. Naturally we are very pleased with this outcome.
